Craw-Kan Employees Help Local Animal Shelters

Posted on May 2, 2022

In 2021, Craw-Kan employees created  “Craw-Kan CARES” and expanded their philanthropic efforts.  Using employee donations, they were able to give more than $10,300 in cash and gifts to local charities and families.  Projects included buying food for local food pantries, helping buy beds for kids in foster care, supporting foster families, helping veterans and their families, and buying loads of Christmas gifts for local kids!

For their first quarter project, CARES decided to help animals.  The Craw-Kan CARES committee selected The S.E.K Humane Society in rural Pittsburg and Fort Scott Paws and Claws.  Both of these organizations focus on caring for pets who need homes through fostering and adoptions. Each organization was gifted $1500 to help them provide for the animals in their care.
