COVID-19: Your Service and Safety
June 30, 2020
Our lobby will tentatively reopen to customers Monday, July 6th.
New customer installs and in-home service calls have been resumed with added precautions to help keep our customers and staff as safe as possible.
As students continue education online and parents start working from home, we know that fast internet is important. Need faster?
What you can do:
- Make a hard-wired connection to your router if possible.
- Limit unnecessary streaming during busy times or lower stream quality.
- Give us a call at 620-724-8235 to see if you can receive faster speeds. In certain cases, we can upgrade speed without sending a technician.
Our technicians have been working hard to bring public WiFi hotspots online around our service area. The goal is to provide an option for those students who may lack internet access at home. You can find our map of available hotspots in the sidebar or at, ckt.net/hotspots.
Support and Installation
It is our priority to make sure your communication services are fully functional while maintaining safety for you and our staff. Our support team and technicians will make every effort to resolve issues over the phone where possible or that occur outside your home.
You may pay online with SmartHub or by phone at 620-724-5283. For all other business, please call 620-724-8235.
Other than the few adjustments mentioned above, we remain fully staffed and continue our regular hours. Many of our technicians and construction crew work alone or in small groups with the necessary PPE. We have plenty to do and will continue to make sure you are connected to the world.

Effective 3/27 all service calls that require a service technician to enter the home will be suspended until the COVID-19 threat has been mitigated.
Customers who would like to upgrade or make changes to their existing services may do so by calling into the office. Many upgrades can be made without an in-home visit. Our staff will continue to troubleshoot and repair any service issues located outside the home. For any service issues inside the home, our staff will be available to troubleshoot over the phone. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as Craw-Kan does its part in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and our customers. We will continue to review recommendations and seek guidance from local, state, and national agencies and implement additional precautions if necessary. If you have any questions, please contact us at 620-724-8235

Our technicians have been working hard all week to bring a number of public WiFi hotspots around our service area online. The goal is for students, who may not have internet access at home, to use these locations for coursework to complete their school year.
Please check back regularly. We will be adding hotspots as needed and as equipment availability allows.

As things keep changing at blinding speeds, we are working hard to keep our network operating at peak efficiency in a manner that is safe for our employees, customers and the general public. Effective immediately we will be suspending new customer installs that require our installer technician to enter a customer’s home. Suspending new installations is a step we feel is needed to reduce coronavirus exposure to our customers as well as our valued employees. Therefore, our focus will shift almost solely to network maintenance, fixing outages for existing customers and only other functions that are deemed mission-critical. If you have a pending install order it is effectively on hold until further notice. If you already have an install scheduled, it will be cancelled and rescheduled when it is safe to do so. We know many people have a great need for connectivity, however, we have a responsibility to our current subscribers to keep services working – and a responsibility to our employees to do what we can to keep them safe and healthy. This is a tough decision for Craw-Kan to make as we would like to be able to provide service to everyone in our area! If you would still like to place an order for new service, we would be happy to take it and add you to the list of installs which will resume at a time when it is safe to do so.
